@chuckclown80 My english isn't very well, 'cause i'm speak spanish, but the possibly engine to Si version is a K24 series around 200-210 hp. ? and the non Si versions still the R18 140hp. that info is by temple of vtec. I hop to understand me. ;)

Looks like a mini Accord coupe to me. IMO, would've been better to just bring over? the JDM and EURO spec civic freshened up a bit. And while Honda is at it, they REALLY need to bring back TYPE R whether it be Acura or Honda badged - this SI business as demographically functional as it is, is gettin little long in the tooth. My personal favorite will always be '99-'00 EK gen. civic SI coupe, the sportiest of all gen's.

i currently own an 8th generation Honda Civic sedan and it still amazes me each and every time i take it for a drive even after 5 years of ownership. i use this car for commuting to school, work, weekly errands and road trips and put over 20,000 miles a year. runs great, looks great, and an extremely low cost of ownership makes it the perfect vehicle to own.? i now look forward to purchase the upcoming 9th generation in both a regular Sedan and Si sedan models when it launches this spring.

@mellowdalyricist honda can do as they please, but to keep up with all the new competition they're going to have to do something major to the civic. Its always the same thing, they add power but also? add weight. That's why the new hondas aren't much faster than the old ones. I believe a turbo would set them apart, not to mention be a huge hit for aftermarket ppl. Tradition or not, it'll be better
